Beyond Strides

Embedding Security Into the Development Lifecycle

Service

DevSecOps Training

Duration

5 days, in-person

Outcome

Security embedded by default

The Challenge

The client’s engineering team was shipping software the way most teams do — security reviewed at the end, if at all, rather than built in from the start. Vulnerabilities were being caught late, if they were caught before launch at all. The organization needed its developers to think and build securely as a default habit, not a final checkpoint owned by a separate team.

Our Approach

Following our standard three-step process — Diagnose, Design, Deliver — we began with a structured assessment of the team’s existing development lifecycle to understand exactly where security was being treated as an afterthought. From there, we designed a five-day, in-person training program built around the team’s actual tools and workflows, not generic slides.

Delivery was practical and specific: real scenarios from the team’s own stack, not theoretical case studies borrowed from unrelated industries.

The Outcome

The engineering team left with security practices embedded directly into their existing development workflow — not a separate compliance exercise bolted on afterward. This engagement became the proof point behind what is now Beyond Strides’ flagship capability development offering: DevSecOps Training.

Why It Matters

This is the pattern behind everything we do. This engagement is a small, concrete example: a real security gap, closed through capability building, not another tool nobody was trained to use.
